This may make no sense unless you live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. This time of year is like hunting season in Pennsylvania. Sailing is a big part of life around here. Sailing season is gearing up so you have to have your priorities straight.
My son is fortunate to have been raised here, and at age 28, sailing is still a big part of his life. As a teenager he sailed out of Oxford in many races and even raced in the Governor’s Cup, which is an overnight race from Annapolis to St Mary’s City. In his early 20’s he found his way onto a boat out of Miami to Baltimore, then in another race from Baltimore to Newport, R.I..
Well, he is off again to complete the last leg of his quest. The race starts in Newport and ends in Bermuda. They did have a space for one more but I am not qualified for ocean racing so I will have to track him on computer. What a great life his must be…
Just wanted to let you know I do have more of a life than Konsyl.
Talk to you later,
The fiber guy
